Sheikh
Othman and his brother Sheikh Khalid |
|
Born 1314 A.H. - 1896 A.D.
Died 1417 A.H. - 1997 A.D.
He is a summit chief, a sweeping branch alive, swaggering,
fruitful and leafy, characterized by his tremendous overshadow spread
around, a luxuriant blooming plant with delicious, ripe fruit. He is
also the soft breeze has the severity of the darkness at night and the
odour of the Paradise. He was irrigated from a flowing fountain and a
pure water spring (source), which will never be rendered turbid by the
mud of discord or riot, not even the tremendous torrent. He is a realm
in the ample sophistic garden which fruits are cures and remedies.

I don’t want to introduce that man since he is beyond any
acknowledgement. He’s already renowned. I just admire his luminosity
to illuminate the obscure night in the midst of the agitated sea with
high huge waves for me and for whoever desires to reach the peaceful
beach. I just want to praise a person renowned as “Pure Hearted”.
“When you behold him, you recall Allah, glory be to Him, when you mix
with him, your faith and piety become intensified whereas your earthly
interests or minimized”. This is the true description of this
benevolent hermit.
Tremendous divers of visitors attend his company, diverse
tongues, tendencies and targets. Characterize his settings. None is
there frustrated or disappointed. His setting are pure and beyond any
detestation. It’s the contrast. He may either read verses from Quran
Kareem pathetically shaking those who fear their creator, or read the
shivering song of praise of prophet Mohammad, the blessing and mercy of
Allah may be upon him, or he may listen wisely, patiently and
respectfully with a smile characterizes his reverend countenance. He
listens attentively to every request, to every issue, to every
consultation, answering them all open heartedly and generously during
the twenty-four hours. He deals seriously with the peoples issues: the
spiritual, the psychological, the personal familiar, or the social ones.
His generous private setting is above gossiping beyond backbite,
disrepute, or dishonor; the people’s matters are sacramental. This is
besides the continual calling and summoning to the adhere the Islamic
worshipment, to piety, to repentance, to patience, and to dependence.
One of his lovely traits is his concerns of the legislators and the
tutors. He is their servant in its full meaning. Besides, his abundant
ethics and rich culture in his choice of words and diction, in letter
writings and rhetorical conversation.
He is never annoyed of the speaker’s words no matter how harsh,
minor or repeated they are. He avoids interruptions even if the speech
is so long. His room is almost overcrowded by things of people who
bruise to enter; but he, Allah may mercy upon him, never forgets to
welcome them all asking them to reveal their problems and issues. His
settings are dominated by severity as if the birds settle on the head of
his attendants.
Although he is extremely shy, he encourages his guests to reveal
and express whatever they need unashamed with deep generosity and
redundancy from his side. No one will be harmed if he mistreats or
oppresses him, whereas if any is harmed, he immediately resorts to the
fair judgment that the door deserves applying.
The sacramental saying by Allah “Man Ado Lee Wa leyan Fakad
Athan tu hu Bil harb” means: whoever oppresses any of my tutors, I
will attack him seriously.
Willingly, he fees people, offers shelter, treats sick ones such
as the swollen as well as others for the sake of Allah and to alleviate
the affliction equally among people without distinguishing between
color, tongue, nationality, age gender, richness, poverty, rank, or
relationship, just for regard. As prophet Mohammad said: “Anzilou
Annas Manazilahum” means: Treat everyone according to his rank or
position.
Sheikh Siraj Eddin the second is a generous person, characterized
by his smiling face, reverend personality, handsome appearance, humble
nature, open hearted, as open handed as Hatem, as shy as Othman,
immortal in his loftiness, and a remarkable person. How many poor
miserable, weak disable sick, indeed travelers, self tortured or a
surrounding tortured ones found in his Majesty the curing remedy, the
balsam, the full serenity, relaxation, and comfort, besides, his
intercession among people for their own sake since he is one of them to
serve them? All the virtues and the moralities of sophism and
self-purification are transfigured in his personality. He reconciles
among people, restores the peace and comfort to the desperate mad souls.
He is so remote from whatever may disgrace his lofty devotion and
chastity.
How many wicked, scoundrel ones were transformed to benevolent
ones after following his course? How many mad ones were recovered and
became normal and reasonable after sitting in Al Khanikah? How many
wonderers and bewilders were brought back to their straight for wordness
due to his pure breath and heard words by Allah favorably. He, may Allah
have mercy and upon him, used to encourage urges all especially the
Mureedeen and the followers to work to earn their livings legally; he
also hated the singleton and the destitution. Thus, he used to incite
the young ones to seek and acquire the efficient knowledge and skills in
various fields especially in commerce and agriculture. He managed
perfectly well any matter proposed to him. It was impossible for any
examiner to exceed him in his managing. He excelled in all fields. As
his ancestors, he loved architecture, sterilizing the water sources, the
plantation, dam building, digging wells, digging canals for irrigation.
He improved the two villages Douroud and Mahmoud Abad to be the best
summer and winter resorts for both the followers and the owners. He
occupied them with every newly advanced article as well as with the
antique ones, brought to them various collection of trees of fruit and
vegetables which later became the sources of blessings and living for
their dwellers and inhabitants. He never forgot or delayed even an hour
to accomplish his religious task in instructing the repentance.
Thus, he became the lighthouse in the Islamic world and the
center of their attraction.
May Allah accept his deeds.
Amen
