C- The Obedience of the Guide:
The follower
should be a student to a perfect tutor applying his instructions
sincerely with morality. This course is easier and narrower to
attain the end which is called “The Invocation Relationship”
which is the continuation of the internal relationship with Allah,
praise be to Him. So, whoever has a tutor, this relation takes
place through the tutor’s heart.
How it
happens? The heart of the follower is joined metaphorically with
his guide’s heart to which is already Luminous, shining with
God’s light, the essence of lights, which always springs in our
prophet’s heart, may God have mercy and bless upon him, as
electricity spreads in all directions, as a river which streams
flow towards tens of the fields to irrigate thousands of trees.
Through the same procedure the abundance, pure and fresh water
spread among the lovers to water their hearts with this tremendous
bless to produce its pure light. The perfect guide gains his share
of this bliss and spreads it among his Mureedens.
The sophistic
poet Mawlawie sent a poem to his guide Sheikh Othman Naqshbandi
supplied and saturated them all by the springs, while my land
suffers thirst, my fruits suffers dryness. This is unfair, please,
I plead you to canal the springs one after another and irrigate my
farm”. It’s obvious that relation here is all figurative
conceived by the foresight.
When the tie is
so firm and the Mureed confirms it, then he’ll receive light and
bless which will be reflected on his hidden senses – Lataef –
which in turn, will be purified on after the other to treat the
faults and defects gradually such as the envy, the conceit, the
long hope, and the strife for the sake of money, besides the other
wicked psychological diseases. So, when the follower’s innerself
is purified and Allah’s light eighteens the Lataef which begin
immediately the invocation, at that stage the Mureed perceives the
presence and the watching situation which is the ultimate hope.
After this, level Mureede’s heart and innerself become
comforted, then comes ‘the self’ level the heading towards the
perishable level leading towards the immortality.
It’s already
mentioned through this research that the follower begins the
internal invocation till his heart becomes invocative, then the
follower proceeds invoking one hidden sense to another accompanied
and guided by his guide.
How this Happen?
The guide moves
heartily foreword towards one of his follower’s Lataef –
hidden sense – and ties it with his, which is surely invocative
and Luminous and is automatically reflected on the follower’s
Latefa – hidden sense, which inturn becomes luminous and
invocative as well. After a while the follower regains his normal
conditions, so the guide will move to another Latefa – secret
sense – settle for a while and so on. If the Mureed is eager
enough, quickly he reaches the end and all his – secret senses
– Lataef become purified, and he will exceed all the ranks
reaching the perishable stage then the immortality. At this rank
he dispenses his guide and becomes proportionally is exclusively
to Allah. So, Allah elevates his steps as he, praise be to Him,
wants to raise his rank. There is no scopes for the external
concrete knowledge; thus, the scientist (Legislator) materialistic
seeks knowledge to intensify his studies, also the rich seeks more
fortune to be rich. The same is the infinite kindness of Allah.
Only our prophet Mohammad, May God have mercy and bless upon him,
is the perfect one who reached the top of humanity, then followed
by the other prophets, then the companions – Awleyaa.
It’s
acknowledge in sophism that the follower who is betowed the
immortal degree after perishing is considered a perfect man.
It’s equal to the doctorate in our concept. He becomes a guide
in his career. Here I should attract the reader’s attention to
the following serious issues:
The Master may
permits his Mureed to join him with the ties before he himself
reaching the immortality after perishing, which is a great sinful
mistake for it may drop him in suspect of his belief, and the
guide is the responsible one, then it may drop the follower in
wicked suggestions and other dilemmas. The guidance is a procedure
and the permission of the ties with the follower is another
different procedure. The guidance means: Demanding the beneficent
and prohibiting the disapproved and he wicked is the duty of all
Muslims, the Legislation guidance is the duty of the Legislators.
With respect to this course the Master should be true with
his Mureedens saying “I am advising guiding you how to repent,
but I’m not a perfect guides, so it’s prohibited for you to
join me with the ties” or he has to say what, Amir Kulal, Sheikh
Naqshband’s Master said “my knowledge scopes stops here, so
you have to search for another Master to continue instructing
you”. It doesn’t mean that the leader should join the Mureed
in one setting (Time-place). The perfect tutor can direct his
Mureed foma in his heart, but the closeness situation is better,
as we said before “Getting closer from the meek and honest ones
causes pleasure and triumph”. The meek guide is beloved by Allah
and being close to him, causes pleasure for the two lives. The
Mureed has to ask for assistance from his tutor. Sheikh Abdullah
Dahlawie said “Although the vocal invocation doesn’t achieve
the follower’s aim if not transmitted to the internal invocation
and becomes a power and firm morality, this mere vocal invocation
is beneficial, since the memory has got a spiritual figurative
step, if accomplished according to the mentioned conditions”.
Then he added “The Mureed has to invoke Allah continuous and
humbly submitting towards the believer’s hearts”. This case is
called “The solitude during the unveiling stage - Al Khalwa Fee
Al Jalua”. Means: He is with Alhak, the Lord, even though he is
with the creatures. This assets the saying that the sophistic
exists physically with people not spiritually. Solitude during the
unveiling stage is one of the follower’s traits and stages in
the Naqshbandia course. The heart diseases are the malice wicked
traits such as the envy, the rancon – the secret haterd – etc. The real Muslim is the one whose
heart is purified of these diseases and defects. Actually, it is a
hard task; otherwise, the human’s troubles could have been
treated easily. When the follower has a Master, the guide takes
the responsibility and let his Mureed get ride of such diseases.
If the follower applied the good behavior during the invocation
and stuck to invoke “La Ilaha Illa Allah” then the treatment
would become easier. When he says “La Ilah” he dispels the
envy imaginatively. He has nothing in the heart, except Allah.
Here he feels the cleanliness of his heart. This is the case with
respect to every vise.
